Sheet Metal Corner Relief

In the corner relief propertymanager under scope select the sheet metal body to which to apply the corner relief.

Under corners click collect all corners to list all corners in the sheet metal body. Click corner relief sheet metal toolbar or insert sheet metal corner relief. You can add a corner relief to a single sheet metal body. How sheet metal corner reliefs are applied to the body in december 2013 we showed the new types of corner reliefs that were added with solidworks 2014.

Choose create relief in the sheet metal menu. Type smreliefcreate in the command bar. At the time we only explained how these reliefs worked. With the flat pattern activated select insert sheet metal corner trim or select it from the corner button on the command manager toolbar.

You can apply corner relief automatically to all corners or manually to individual sets of corners. Select an item see the note below. Individual corners can be selected or collect all corners can be used. Enter relief size by bend radius ratio or force bend reliefs auto auto.

About corner relief use the corner relief tool to add relief to one or more corners of a sheet metal part. Click the create relief tool button on the sheet metal ribbon tab. Select a hard edge bend face flange face or 3d solid entire model. Corner relief corner reliefs can be added to a sheet metal part from within the part s flattened state.

When you add relief sheet metal sections are removed from the model.
